The sturdy split shank is hand stamped and comfortable to wear. Sonoran Gold Turquoise is a rare, recently discovered two-tone turquoise with a golden matrix.  It is mined as individual nuggets in Mexico near the city of Cananea.  This is a wonderful example of contemporary cluster work, a style of jewelry making which groups together many individual stones in a pattern.
